Hoovering up mold

We discovered that the back of a wardrobe and wall had got damp. Have moved said wardrobe and dealt with the cause, but when cleaning the mess dh decided in his infinite wisdom to clean off the worst of it with the Hoover.

I'm now worried to use said Hoover as I know spores from mold can be airborne and I'm worried if I use the Hoover I'll essentially be throwing out the spores into other rooms or breathing it in.

I've tried googling this to see if it's safe or not but can't find anything (clearly dh is the only one silly clever enough to use this technique so thought I'd ask on here.

I wouldn't feel too happy using it, but don't know for certain it's not ok. If it's a bagged vacuum cleaner, I'd want to replace bag ASAP & if non bag, I'd empty it. Would also replace filters if possible. Clean dust container (if non bag) and remove and clean hose.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking. Have been googling more carefully and doesn't look like it was a good move....

Probably not the best idea to vacuum it up, but as long as you empty the bag/bin outside and wash/replace the filters (depending on the model), it should be fine

I've gone out and bought a new one Blush . It was very old and didn't work well anyway and I was anxious about any potential problems from the mold.
