Is it just me who has a bedroom chair with a mountain of clothes on it?

I am tempted to get rid if it to make me put clothes away straight away but I know I would end up with a pile on the floor.

Tell me Im not alone in my slobbishness

But where are you all in real life? Why don't any of my real life friends do this? Why am I cursed with tidy friends?

houseofstark · 19/04/2015 03:02

As MyArk said, it's a chairdrobe. It must be very common, as it's been given an actual name. ??

Maybe because they tidy up before you visit?

That's plain cheating! I don't tidy up my bedroom floor for anyone

MadauntofA · 09/05/2015 13:07

I definitely have a chair-robe. My overly tidy DH manages to ignore it but my DD's have developed my habit and have floor-drobes!

WastingMyYoungYears · 09/05/2015 13:15

I purposefully bought two chairs for DH and I to use as chairdrobes Grin.

jamebxl I bet you don't visit your friends bedrooms when you visit them! They probably pile all the crap from downstairs into the bedroom like I do to give the illusion of tidiness. I have a huge pile of clothes taking up a corner if our bedroom.

I'm guilty! I need to have a major clothing declutter Sad

I'm feeling quite good as we don't have big piles. We have a large sofa in our bedroom (bought for another room upstairs but wouldn't go up there!). We each have our own end, if his stuff travels near mine I go mad! I sort his out and keep most of mine elsewhere. So it isn't too bad but really is just shifted elsewhere. As for visitors, my top housekeeping tip is to have a big bedspread and if you think someone might go in your room or see it, put everything under the bedspread and smooth it over. Job done! Grin
