Dustpan and brush and chuck them outside? No idea how you stop them appearing, though. We get loads too. I can deal with them though, unlike spiders, which I have to get DH to deal with .

i have them in my bedroom - yuk. will be interested to hear the answer !

My dd1 collects them and nurtures them in matchboxes. We have been reduced to crawling around outside early in the morning to find spares when one dies. send them all along our way for my woodlouse-lover.

she also cares tenderly for maggots, caterpillars and earwigs.

I know cloves work for ridding a house of silverfish....had to look this up for a friend at work who got loads after having a new kitchen fitted. And the little monsters (or darlings - for fennels DD) I think have the same construction - worth a try??

A couple of websites I looked at said 'woodlice can be controlled indoors simply by cleaning'. I don't think this would work as I know ours come up from under the skirting or floorboards.

When the dog had fleas and I had to spray the carpets the amount of woodlice I found lying around dead was amazing.

However, this is not a cheap option as the stuff cost about £15 per tin. I think it was called Indorex.
