Should I buy a Karcher window vacuum?

Been dithering about this for ages. Short version; new build, lots & lots of huge windows. 'Garden' still all gravel & muck..exposed site means really filthy windows. I work PT & have 4 children, 2 of whom are toddlers. Will the Karcher save me time or is elbow grease & my e-cloths still the way to go?

Get one, they're fab. Cleans windows in a fraction of the time and much less faffy!

I have one and its brilliant. You can use it on tiles too.

Get one, best gadget I've ever bought.

Tokelau · 21/03/2015 09:02

And I find that the teenage DDs want to use it too, they argue over it!

I bought one recently and have become evangelical about their total fabulousness. Soooo easy to use, so quick and makes the windows come up a dream.

CiderwithBuda · 21/03/2015 09:24

Definitely.

I use a basin of warm water with a bit of washing up liquid in to wash the windows and then just vacuum away the water on the windows. You need a dry cloth just to wipe the bottom of the window where a little water might remain.

Job done!

Yes!! Cleaning windows with it is the only household job I like doing Grin

Missqwerty · 21/03/2015 10:13

They are fab for mirrors too :)

It's pretty much the only gadget I've ever bought that has actually lived up to the hype.

And I've bought many many hyped up gadgets Blush

magimedi · 21/03/2015 11:46

Yes - I am a cynical old gimmer of nearly 60 & have seen more crap gadgets come & go over the years than I ever thought possible.

But, I bought one a couple of weeks ago & am truly, truly impressed.

Ok, mind made up to get one. Which one though? Do you need all the extra bits?

I just got the basic one & am quite happy with it.

But that's my motto with any white goods - either top of the range or the base model. Stuff in mid range is rarely worth the extra.

EmNetta · 25/03/2015 20:38

I made the mistake of getting the all-frills model, which was on sale at the time. There are three of us doing housework here, and no-one's been interested/impressed enough to use the special liquid or smaller cleaning head, plus with this warmer winter, window-condensation is much less so I don't even use it much on my bedroom window.
If its not colder next winter I won't keep it.
