Can I improve my sofa cushions?

We bought a corner sofa from Next about two years ago. It drives me mad. The back sofa cushions just sag all the time and don't appear to have enough stuffing in them to keep their shape. You know when you look at a sofa and all the cushions are uneven, that's my sofa. I have washed them before but they are washable so that shouldn't have caused it.
Anyone fixed this problem?

I feel your pain and will hang around here quietly waiting for advice too. My sofas are the bane of my life!

Lurking I seem to spend half my life pulling the back cushions off and punching them into shape just for someone to sit down and for them to sag again. My heart sinks along with the cushions!!

Same here so marking place!
My DM had some new foam cut to size for her (20yr old) sofa and it made it feel like new again! But I'm wondering if that will be a step too far away from squashyness (and also wondering what type of shop I would need to go to to get this done)!

I bought foam for my sofa cushions. It was thick enough to make a difference, but thin enough to fit in behind the original feather filling. Worked a treat.

Foam sounds like it may be worth exploring. However, I'm beginning to think I was taken on by Furniture Village and was massively overcharged for the cheap shite I park my arse on. The actual cushions aren't the right shape for the covers so even if I try taking them out to reshape, I'm in a worse position.

I needed new foam pads for sofa seat cushions and googled it. Found a place not far away and took the cushions in to get new seat pads. They measured them, advised what grade to go for and even put the new foam in the covers for me.

I've since been back for a bench seat pad.

For my old sofa with saggy thin seat pads I bought foam cut to size from ebay. It completely rejuvenated the sofa. I don't know if it would work for the back cushions but might be worth a try. We now have a foam shop nearby and a neighbour has just taken hers to be measured and fitted.

Thanks, I don't have a foam shop nearby but I will look for the eBay shop. Cheaper than a new sofa.

The upholsterer who runs the place I use told me some manufacturers are using inappropriate, cheaper materials to fill sofa cushions. When the sofa is new, the cushions feel nice and squishy, but the filling doesn't stand up to normal use as well as foam.

All Shapes in South Bucks. Great little factory. Planning on using them myself for my own Ikea seat pad replacement.

We had the same problem with the seat cushions on two sofas. I took them to a local upholsterer who replaced the inside (white bobbly stuff in a bag) with foam. . It cost around £300 to get all four seats done but it has really transformed the sofas.
