Flat cushion

We have 5 cushions on our sofa that have gone flat. Do we need to replace them or is there a way to "re-plump" them?

Seat cushions or back cushions?

Loose cushions that sit on the sofa not the main sofa cushion.

If they are loose cushions then replace the pads - they flatten over time, as do a lot of pillows, for example.

An upholsterer I have dealt with told me there has been a trend more recently for stuffing the seat cushions of sofas with fillings that flatten too quickly and then offer no comfort or support when foam - which is available in different grades - wears much better. That's why I asked which cushions.

Thank you! It seems obvious now you say it but I hadn't thought of replacing the cushion pads : )

Now you see you had me completely confused: I thought you meant they were scatter cushions or the cushions at the back of the sofa!

I replaced the old foam in the seat cushions of one of our sofas last year - it was well worth it.

You can even just add a second pad to the first, no need to remove the old one. It's just extra padding after all!

Another logical idea - thank you??
