Dettol laundry cleanser?

Have a smelly teenage son who no matter how much lynx he sprays his clothes still end up with a bo smell even after washing. Yes I have provided roll on anti perspirant and only buy the anti perspirant lynx but still the problem exists.

My mum said that this dettol laundry cleanser is supposed to get rid of sweat smells. Does anyone know if it actually works? It's quite expensive if it doesn't. I'm at the point of wanting to throw out all of his t-shirts and sweatshirts as they smell. I've used white vinegar in the wash and on the armpits as well as a white vinegar and bicarbonate solution. Washing the tops on their own in a regular wash so plenty of water going through them but nothing works.

Still a faint aroma. So I am going to give the dettol a go.

we use the liquid desinfectant for socks and sportswear, works a treat.

how do you dry? I find drying outside gives a fresh result, the quicker it dries the better.

Halo sports wash is brilliant for getting rid of sweaty smells on clothes.

Dried on an airer by the radiator at the moment. Usually line dried outside when weather allows.

Will get some of the sports wash anyway i think as we alway have sports kit to wash. 3 dc playing various outdoor sports and indoor ones plus my gym and running kit.

I really think it's because you are using non bio. would you do a test run with bio and put on an extra rinse cycle afterwards to get rid of the detergent out of the clothes, to prevent the reaction? don't tell him you have used it either and see if he reacts. really an extra rinse should be sufficient unless he has a medical skin condition.

When we had nappies to wash I used to put white vinegar with a couple of drops of lavender oil in the fabric conditioner drawer, which worked well.

England is the only country in the world that still sells non-bio?

Pretty sure Ireland, Wales and Scotland sell it.

You know she means the UK. Most of the rest of the world seems to cope without non bio
