What don't you put in your dishwasher?

Despite having a perfectly good dishwasher I find myself doing loads of dishes in the sink. The dishwasher instructions say not to put any wood or non-dishwasher safe plastic items in it which means that choopping boards, wooden spoons, sharp knives with plastic handles, tupperware, etc are out. I also don't put in any oven/ baking trays as they seem to make everything else greasy/ dirty and get rusty. Nor do I put in baby bottles, sippy cups, children's melamine bowls/ plates or cutlery, frosted glasses or any with pictures on in case they come off. Can any of these things safely go in it? What about utensils for non-stick pans - nylon I think?

No wooden items, sharp knives or non-stick things (like frying pans). Plastic goes in, i think the only worry is if it falls onto the elements on the bottom and chances are small.

I put everything in on the basis that if it is not dishwasher proof I will get some use out of it before it falls apart and I can buy a dishwasher proof replacement. Would never have expensive wooden handled pans as far to heavy to lift.

I put wooden spoons in - nothing dire has happened yet!

Not wooden spoons or scissors - pretty much everything else goes in. If baking trays/roasting tins are very greasy I give them a swoosh with washing-up liquid to get the worst off first.

(But I have a lovely big saucepan with plastic handles which is 24 years old and the knob on the lid just disintegrated )
