Everhot range cookers - talk to me!

DH and I have irrationally fallen in love with an Everhot range, solely based on its looks and the "wow factor" it would give our new kitchen, so much so that we're seriously considering taking out a short term loan to get one when we have our kitchen done in March.

However, I need some people to talk to me about the practicalities. I have no experience of cooking on Aga-type cookers, so would I find it a nightmare? How do you use it to cook day to day? I use the hob quite a lot - ie, do lots of pasta dishes, stir fries, risottos etc - can you still do this, or do you need to be more oven based? How does it work with the different ovens? What temperatures do you have them at? Do you keep all of the ovens on even though day to day I'd normally only use one oven?

What size do people have? When we were looking at other range cookers we were going for a 110cm, but I definitely want the induction hob option, and the 110 Everhot seems to only have one induction zone whereas the 100i has 2 and the 120i has 3 (and is the same price as the 110i, weirdly).

How does the hot plate work and what do you use it for if you also have the induction hob?

Do you have to turn your's off in the summer, and if so how do you manage without an oven? We don't want to get an additional oven, so this will be our only thing to cook on in the summer (apart from BBQ!)

How much heat does it give out? Ours will be in a large kitchen-diner, but tucked away in the kitchen part, which forms the short leg if the L, if you see what I mean. We're planning to have a woodburner in the large leg of the L, so I'm wondering if we'd need radiators at all in that case?

Sorry for all the questions, but obviously it's a big decision. Basically, is it worth us really stretching ourselves financially to get one or do we need to come back to planet earth?! Thanks!

There is a very active Facebook group - Everhot discussion group where you can get advice on all these things :)

I too have fallen under the spell. My cold kitchen urges me to do it. One thing that put me off when I went to see one in t
he flesh, was that I could see the insulation around the hot plate, so I became afraid that I would boil over milk and it would go down the crack and stink!
