Need a waterproof mattress cover that won't slip, slide, ride up....

Kitten has weed on bed twice recently, soaking through to mattress.
I got a cheapie mattress cover for about £9.99 from Wilkinsons and I guess you get what you pay for, but I think it was Silentnight, so...a trusted brand.
Anyway..tis a nightmare. Makes me and DP sweat, it rides/bunches up taking the under sheet with it. Wake to find most of the mattress exposed and we are lying on a crumpled mess.
So, we are willing to pay more, for something that actually stays put, isn't slippy and slidey, nor rustly or pings off.. is that asking too much?

Not sure if they do bigger sizes than single, but Ikea do a lovely one that is towelling on one side and kind of rubberised on the underside. No sweating I don't think, but I've never used one!!

Aha thanks will have a look.. we live quite near an Ikea and off to look for a rug soon anyway (i'm just not familiar with it as new to area hence didn't even consider them for a mattress cover)

We have a fitted mattress topper that is waterproof on the back and quilted on the front. Got it on Amazon.

The ikea obe is fab - i have 4 of them for the children's bedas they are good quality and a good price. They are a nice fabric and not at all plastic feeling - and they work! Not sure what they are called but GOKART looks similar and lots of sizes - would definately look there first.

Dunelm sells the soft terry ones too, for not much money. Definitely available in double and kingsize.

Asda do terry towelling fitted sheet ones.

Another vote for the Ikea one. We have them on all the beds in the house.

They can also be tumble dried although it does take a while. Putting a dry towel in the drier with it speeds it up a bit.

I used to have one that was like sleeping on a crisp packet, so was pleased to find something better.

The ikea one is good, do both european and uk sizes. Have them on both the DC's bed and also had one on our bed when I was pregnant (living with PIL at the time and paranoid about my waters breaking in their spare bed!).

No bunching and not at all sweaty or noisey.

thanks for all the recommendations . Woke up this morning with it all bunched up and had indents on us to the point where they hurt! also covered in sweat.. and I'm someone who's normally permanently frozen! We threw it out in disgust.

John Lewis also do a nice one which is thin towelling on top and a really tight fit.
