Laundry sorter?

Gozogozo · 14/10/2014 10:15

I thought that I had found the ideal laundry sorter with 3 compartments on a metal frame & castor at John Lewis. Just checked the reviews and lots of negative feedback about the metal frame buckling.
Back to the search...have you found a good quality laundry sorter? It needs to be moveable as quite a tight space to store it and not too heavy (just heavy enough not to buckle when full of laundry obv! Smile )
Any ideas?

I thought about getting this one? I too had read the reviews of the JL one. I think the Argos one comes in another colour too

Not what you've asked but we have 3 smaller wicker laundry baskets in a row on the landing. Does the same job but means we can pick one up and move easily on its own without transferring to something else to carry them down or dropping all the socks on the way (or maybe that's just me).

I have two a bit like this but with deeper lids which i use to carry the dirty laundry to the washing machine.

Or this Amazon one gets good reviews.

Thank you folks. I have swerved away from metal framed ones as all the ones that I have found seem to have buckling issues at some point.

I have bought one of these to trial. if it works OK then I can get another one.

I have the argos one and it easily holds two loads, one dark and one light but it is not really movable.

We have this No buckling so far and you can carry whichever bag you need to the washing machine.

Evertonmint thanks for that - I did see that one on that website, but no reviews so wasn't going to risk it. Now I might Smile

I had a system when I had a space in the bottom of the airing cupboard, it was just three large supermarket hamper bags linked with pegs. White--Darks and in the middle Stuff you weren't sure about.
Now we have two laundry baskets that fit together to make half a circle. The left's for whites and the right's for not whites. They stand side by side in the bathroom. They were from JL.

It's a bit wobbly but that doesn't affect how it works - with 3 small children including a baby, a fairly regular bed wetter and a very messy eater it's nearly always fully loaded but it hasn't buckled yet. The bags are around a load's worth too so it makes laundry as streamlined as possible.

That looks good Everton! Thanks for the link.
