Powder better than liquid?

Is bio washing powder better than liquid.

DDs insist on doing everything (including trampolining) in Jack Willis, Super dry and geek T shirts. They still stink after washing at 40 but being printed and dark colours I don't want to go up to 60.

Bright ideas please.

Anywhere that sells either essential oils generally (pharmacies often do, bigger Boots, etc) or most places that sell cloth nappies (I think my current bottle was from Little Lamb).

Always use powder. Colour powder is biological but without the bleaching agents.

For super smelly armpits, wet with cold water and rub in a half tsp of biological liquid as a pre-treatment. Leave for a few minutes before washing with powder on the longest wash and highest temp the fabrics can stand.

I'm so jealous of all of you suggesting bio powder. Your washing lives are so much easier. I'm massively allergic to it, I can't bear the stuff.

with allergies/skin sensitivity, people used to be advised to change from Bio to Persil non-bio.

However it now seems to be thought that it is not the enzymes, but the perfumes and other additives, that cause the trouble. The formulae vary by brand, and sometimes a different brand will fix it.

We used Persil non-bio for years, but Almat bio powder also seems OK.

You will want to rinse thoroughly. Hot water dissolves powder better, so a hot wash will leave less residue. Washing Soda Crystals also help to wash away soap residue, and you need less powder with them, so another advantage. You may find the washing comes out softer if you add the crystals, I think this is because they clean away the residue of soap or detergent.

Trust me, it's the bio. I know my allergies, having lived with them for over 20 years and having tried EVERYTHING.

It's also the fragrances, I don't tend to use anything other than basic brands or eco because they smell less.

Both cause me to itch, and other people using fabric conditioner with lots of fragrance standing next to me on the train will make me sneeze!

I've used very basic bio tablets with no fragrance before and even after rinsing several times on hot, and re-washing with non-bio, they still upset my allergies. So I, with regret, use other options...
