I know, I know, get off here and start cleaning would be a good start Wink

I have a landlord inspection on Thursday, we've been here for five years and though the landlord has popped in to look at certain things etc after ringing or texting this was an official letter, recorded delivery etc, you know, the type that have you convinced it's An Important One.

So, I want to have everything just so, where do I start, what do I need to remember that tends to get overlooked, such as sockets/switches etc? And what can I do to save time that's glaringly obvious to all but me. I'm pregnant and have a toddler at home or I'd just whizz through it all no problem.

Thanks all :)

Anything not in eyeline is easy to miss, skirting boards, tops of doorways/cupboards, light shades etc.

If you don't have much time, a box with a lid to hide clutter in makes a big difference (then when you have more time toy can go through it and throw a lot of it out).

Thanks MrsGSR

Today I managed the lounge/diner, chucked 3 sacks and 2 recycling sacks out-eeek!! Figured if I chucked the clutter rather than moving it then it was less to clean lol

I then went around the room, starting at the top and dusted then washed down all the walls, skirtings, sockets/switches, anything hanging etc, hopefully by working my way round methodically and top to bottom I've done everything. A friend's coming over tomorrow to do the light fittings as I have zero balance just now!!

The tiles are all scrubbed down in the bathroom which was the big job in there as there's sooooo many, so in a moment I'm going to have a tidy round and give the bath/sink/toilet a clean, then have a declutter/wipe round the utility room, then aside from the kitchen that's the downstairs done.

The plan tomorrow is to vacuum and wipe up the stairs/landing then plonk the toddler in front of a dvd on my bed while I quickly tidy what the rooms upstairs, then give them a vacuum. Upstairs loo will be fine with a quick wipe. I'll do the kitchen while the kids eat tea/have a bath (with door open to supervise) and if I didn't have time in the afternoon wipe round the bedrooms while they're in bed.

Sounds do-able....
