Reporting for duty OP. In reality I have a mountain of work to get through before house even looks half decent. However, will try to do the following and report back:

  1. Make soup and dinners for today and tomorrow's dinners
  2. Make baby some mushy dinners
  3. 1 hour of ironing
  4. Clean kitchen
  5. Clean two bathrooms
  6. Get through two piles of rubbish that have accumulated on spare chairs

I realised while chatting to my DH about our home that I did not grow up in a tidy house so when it comes to really, really tidying up and decluttering I am clueless about how to get on with it Blush. Can reorganise piles of crap and move them about...

If I get through the above list it will be a huge achievement (teething baby, DH working, other DC's to keep happy (xbox here we come!))

Will report back!

Haha Val we have several things in common!

My youngest is also teething
Older dc are distracted by the xbox
Oh is out

And I too grew up in a messy house which clearly impacts on my own tidiness

I must-
Strip wash and remake our bed
Strip wash and remake dc2s bed
Clean bathroom
Put away washing
Pots
Clear mega cluttered kitchen work tops and table
Hoover living room
Hoover upstairs

Hoover sitting room
Make shepherds pie for during the week
Mop hall floor
Put washing away
Possibly a bit of weeding

OR

The big toy tidy - need to sort, tidy, group all the toys and bits of shite stuff so it's in some semblance of order and can be played with not just chucked about the place.

IShallCallYouSquishy · 28/09/2014 12:50

I want to join in though a grumpy 7 month old and a poorly 2.4yr old are hindering

Strip and remake our bed
Hoover and mop bathroom floors x2
Hoover and dust our room
Hoover and dust kids rooms
Make chilli for tonight
Buy onion for above
Bring in washing
Put away washing in airing cupboard into its actual homes
Put a load in the machine

DH goes away for 4 nights at 6pm tonight so at least I know it will stay clean and tidy Wink

kansasmum · 28/09/2014 16:36

I'm joining! Dh and dd's fiancée have gone to Silverstone so I've been having a mega sort out and cleaning fest!!!

So far I have:

Cleaned both bathrooms including washing floors.
Cleaned kitchen swept and mopped floor.
Done 4 loads of laundry ( got a bit behind this week!)
Ironed a huge pile of shirts!
Hoovered whole house.
Emptied all bins and washed compost bin thing.
Cleaned out fish tank

Still to do:

Clean out chickens
Scoop poop in the garden
Do some watering
Get laundry off line and put away
Finish roast for dinner ( chickens in the oven!).
Clean downstairs loo.

My neighbour kindly invited ds swimming so that's really helped keeping him occupied!
