Improving your ventilation should help reduce it. Extractor fan and/or having a window open slightly.

Furball · 25/09/2006 10:33

Shaving foam, though not tried it myself.

LIZS · 25/09/2006 10:34

Extractor fan definitley. Minimises mildew and condensation too.

You can get little heated pads to go behind mirrors; they need to be linked to a light switch. Will stop condensation on your main mirror if you have them fitted. otherwise upgrade your ventilation.

Vinegar, apparently. But never tried ti

"Condensation on mirrors.

To prevent this from happening simply wipe down the mirror with a damp cloth with a spot of washing up liquid on it and let dry naturally. The mirror should remain clear for up to 6 weeks. Not only does this work with household mirrors it will also greatly assist with internal rear view mirrors in cars and also when applied to the inside of a car windscreen has a very good effect. Taxi drivers have been doing this for years especially in winter months."

my driving instructor used to use this method over 20 years ago

iota · 25/09/2006 14:34

have also found that 'shower shine' has the same effect

lorina · 25/09/2006 14:35

Always open the window at least a crack before you have a bath or shower

NomDePlume · 25/09/2006 14:35

Does the washing up liquid not go all smeary ?

iota · 25/09/2006 14:37

don't know abouth the washing up liquid, but shower shine is fine - I just polish it in

RTKangaMummy · 25/09/2006 14:49

deffo use washing up liquid here too

CADS · 25/09/2006 20:09

Thanks everyone.

Will try the washing liquid trick. We rent so I'm not putting an extractor fan in and it is getting to cold in the mornings to have the window open.
