You know it's bad when...

.....your 4 yr old bum shuffles into the kitchen saying 'cuse me please' to the cat to get through (!) and says

"oh no mummy, MESS".

Hmmmm think it's about time I swept the floor!

Lol at Lottie! And arrgh. Yes. I haven't dared invite one of the boys' good friends over recently as he is such a neat freak. Last time he was over he kept finding hidden untidy bits- he looked under rugs and in corners and then called me in to give me a shocked and disappointed look and request that I cleaned up! I was torn between laughter and irritation but he has such beautiful big brown eyes and seemed so genuinely concerned that I found myself doing as he asked, much to partner's amusement. At the moment he would not have to look very hard for things for me to clean up, that's for sure!

great! bum shuffling!

a cloth round the backside will have that floor done in no time

Thomcat · 09/09/2006 13:11

LOL. Do you think I could staple damp scouring pads to her bum, or at least the bum of her trousers??

does she wear pants? you could sew some from microfibre cloths

be comfier than scouring pads

ohana · 09/09/2006 14:06

lol
and when she's done with your floor, can she come and do mine?
could be a whole new career for her!

Great idea.
My aunt would be made to wear corduroy trousers and slide back and forth on altar rails when my grandmother was on church cleaning duty.

Came up a treat they said.

We had a bloke in to fix the fridge the other day, he had to pull it out and got fingermarks on the white door. DD (age 3) comes in, takes one look, and grabs a j-cloth and starts rubbing off the marks.

She also likes wearing her socks on her hands (no, I don't know why, I guess it's easier than putting them on her feet or trying to put gloves on) and she has started dusting the stairs like Anthea. Scary - she's in bed when it's on telly!!
