Sending laundry out?

Is this even possible? I want someone to come and collect all the washing twice a week and delivery it back in separated piles. Pipe dream?

Johnsons offer a laundry service but you have to drop stuff in to them as far as I know. Find out where you local launderettes and dry cleaners are and ask them.

Check out your local launderettes. There are a couple round here which do a collection service.

Never tried it myself, just seen their vans driving round.

There are few arounf here wher I live. Its something I fantasis about.

Not laundry but we send DH's work shirts out for ironing as I can't find the time and he's rubbish at it. It's wonderful! Lovely man picks up clean, crushed shirts in a bag, and returns them the next night, crease free and on hangers to go straight into wardrobe. I have seen vans round here advertising that they do home delivery/pickup laundry service too. It really is the best money we spend.

Brilliant, thank you. I think I have found a company that doesn't quite cover my area but might at least be able to point me in the right direction!

I have used Johnsons drop off n pick up service. They are efficient.

If you organised it when going to shops anyway...they pretty much everywhere.

Don't go to shops, I'm disabled, I guess, with chronic fatigue. Washing is just a bit much sometimes.

Someone is coming to collect tomorrow evening! I'm thrilled, it will be great to have this as backup when things get bad. Thanks all. And thanks for making it seem totally normal. Grin

Well done OP! I don't think of it as normal, but more an example of my excellent delegation skills, ability to prioritise my time, and my continuing support of local business. Wink

good for you Envy Grin

They just came and collected 2 king size duvets and a huge bin bag of clothes, I think about 7kg. I suspect it will be about £35 for the clothes, but will report back. Not sure it would be worth it generally but on a week I can hardly walk it but still have to wash wet bedding daily Angry would mean everyone had something to wear. Grin
