Colour run in a white wash - should I use bleach?

Please help - favourite white cotton top was put in a hot wash and didn't realize something red was in there too so everything went pink. Have since put it through again twice with the colour run rescue liquid stuff and it has faded but still visibly pinkish with the non-cotton trim now standing out as a lovely pale grey.

What is the best next step? Wash as normal? Or bleach? And if it is bleach, what do I do exactly?

I would try a different branded colour remover, if you use bleach it is likely to go a horrid yellow colour

I used dyson colour run when ds's baby vests all turned dirty blue after I washed then with a dark denim (baby head!)..

They came out sparkling white again.

If all else fails could you dye it a different colour?

Oh I wasn't using Dyson colour run, I was using Dr Becker or something - so maybe I will try the Dyson one then? I am quite far from a supermarket so every time I go back for more colour run stuff, the things dry out a little bit more - is that making it worse?

Are you using a colour run remover rather than colour catcher/preventer? I wonder if a net-curtain whitener would work? Glo-White or something.
Wilkinsons usually has a good range of these sorts of things.

And yes to keeping it wet in the meantime.

Would this work for a cream top? I've done the same thing :( ruined q an expensive little cream top by putting a navy blue vest in

The Dyson colour stripper is pretty good - just don't breathe in the noxious fumes! You could try it on a cream top as a last desperate measure but I'm pretty sure it just strips everything back to white. Might never be quite the same pristine white it was when you bought it, though.

there are two dyson colour runs, one for whites and one for colours. the one for colours removes only the stains not all the items colour. not sure how it knows the difference between the fabrics colour and the stain, maybe its the way the original dye is applied/set.

haha yes its dylon, I said dylon in my head, but somehow it came out as dyson

Not bleach.it will 'rot' the fabric.
