Woodlice in house

Does anyone have any tips to prevent woodlice from coming into my house!? They come in, walk around for about a day then die (I guess because it's not damp enough for them). I don't know how they get in, whether they come from outside or are breeding inside but they are in every room and are driving me mad!

I know conkers are supposed to keep spiders away, but what about woodlice? I'll try anything! Thank-you :)

Hi can anyone help we get woodlice in sons upstairs bedroom but it's only when it's really sunny they come in groups and every time I use my dryer which isn't very often this is really annoying us as we have only live here for 2 years

I’m having the same problem, about the wood lice and that, mainly they are in my bedroom and I find the odd one dead on the floor since I have a massive window. However there is a gap in the wood so what do you think I could cover it with. Also I seem to be finding little creatures around I think it may be baby woodlice ? They don’t last long tho and hardly even move. What should I do any advice ? And what do baby woodlice look like. Just to clarify it is them and not some bug that will carry a disease

Baby woodlice look identical to full size woodlice just tiny versions

Not popular on here but I buy dethlac spray from wilcos, spray round the skirting boards and thats it for a year

We are having big problems with slaters, our house has concrete floors, they appear between skirting board and carpet edge, have put ant killer powder along edge of carpet. Does kill most, but do they get in. Have put this ant powder all around outside of house. Any suggestions

I get woodlice coming in when it rains and I find a few dead ones. I don't think they are living in my home.

Does anybody know if this would be a sign of damp in my home or do the doors etc just need sealant?

I've also sprayed with insecticide where they are coming in. Thanks

I am building my self an art studio which is nearing completion. I have concrete flooring and I have fitted the skirting doors and architraves. The room is completely sealed and is empty with no nooks and crannies or any where to hide. For the past few weeks I leave the room free of spiders bugs and any creepy crawlies yet every morning I come in to find woodlice. Sometimes a clutch of babies in a corner and sometimes just a lone adult. It's as if they are magically transported from another dimension. If I leave a concrete block outside on a plank of wood then in the morning there will be hundreds under the block. Where do they all come from and how do they all know where to congregate so quickly. Do you think they have tiny little phones to send out party invites. It's baffling.

You have damp which is causing wood to rot.

They don't cause damp or rot, and they don't eat wood. They only eat the mould that grows on rotting wood.

Insecticide and hoovering will not cure the damp or the rot.
