cleaning pvc window vents

moved house a few months ago. Have now got white pvc windows for the first time which I love but they have vents at the top which I can open and close with a little flap and they are choked with dirt, dust and spider webs.
I tried to clean them with hoover and cotton buds but there is still dirt inside. Can anyone give me any idea how you are supposed to clean them?
Also any tips on cleaning the white pvc itself would be appreciated.

Clean the vent by blasting with a hair dryer, maybe?

Cif cream would clean the frames I would think, or Lakeland are bound to do a PVC cleaner.

I think Cif, which is slightly abrasive, will dull the natural polish of the frames. There are special cleaners for PVC, if the supermart doesn't have them, try a DIY or builders shed.

You can clean the vents with a small paintbrush, say half-inch, warm water and WUL. PVC will not be damaged by water, so you can slosh it quite freely and sponge off the dirty water that runs out. There may be drainage channels that drip onto the outside sill. You could use a plant mister if you have one.

The vents are probably removable by taking out a couple of stainless screws, but if you try that, practice on a downstairs one in case any bits fall outside.
