Anyone got a dyson cylinder? Which is best?

I'm looking to trade in my old dyson...it's lasted 8yrs!! It was an upright but were looking at a cylinder one this time as I need something a bit easier to get up and down the stairs.
Any advice would be appreciated?

Given my current experience with Dyson appalling customer service I'd say buy another brand! All I wanted was a spare part... I am seriously considering buying something else as a result.

Which is best?

A Miele.

I have the dyson animal, so, as I have no experience with any other dyson I'd say that one is best. I like it.

I'm looking at the dc49 cos it's lighter than the rest and with my stupid arthritis it should be easier to carry up the stairs etc?
Anyone got a dyson dc49??

Another vote for a Miele here.

Miele from me too Grin.

I've been a Dyson fan for years - still have one of their very old ones as my "upstairs" Hoover - but the ones I've bought in the last 5-6 years have been shocking (the fact that I've had to buy more than one says it all really!). Motors keep burning out, plastic components snap in no time, and they just don't seem to be as powerful.

This year I gave up and bought a Miele. Love it.

Hello I'm not keen on my animal and wish I had got the Miele too :(
