Which is better for making a room smell nice - candle or diffuser?

Want something to make the house smell nice. What should I get? Are diffusers any good? Thinking they would work all the time unlike candles which can't be used when you're not there.

Open window and air first. You want there to be no unpleasant smell in house before candles. Scented candles nicest IMO plus fresh flowers or herbs

I used to love candles but since we had a (non-candle related) house fire, I only really use room diffuser. I like Neom or Pure Grace best.

Only supposed to last 8 weeks but mine seem to last 4-6 months.

*diffusers

Do you mean True Grace? I do like the look of their stuff but it is £££. Is there anywhere that stocks them to have a sniff?

The house of Fraser linea candles and diffusers smell quiet nice and not too expensive.

The neom ones are lovely though and we have the candles in bathrooms. But they don't sell pillar larger candles which is a shame

Yes! Sorry, True Grace. I got mine at John Lewis.

Open the window, fresh air is the best imo.

Well, yes fresh air and a clean house is best, but I always have one nice diffuser downstairs as I'm out all day and can only open the windows when I come home to face the breakfast table left from the morning

I am a huge candle fan. I know they are expensive but Yankee Candles are great. In the Summer I use the flowery ones, Lilac, roses, white Gardenia. In the Winter, Toasted Marshmallow, cinnamon, Christmas spice etc.

I also open the windows when I can and fresh flowers help.

I have an Avon diffuser in my front room. I put it out at Christmas and its still doing a fine job. No oil left in it byt it still smells nice and not overpwering.

Yes to opening windows but I do like to smell nice stuff too. Will go and have a sniff round john lewis.
