Drying washing outside when builders are working a few houses away?

Im in the middle of getting old baby grows, linens and freshening up car seat cover/bouncy chair cover etc, etc.

Neighbours 3 doors away are building a small extension it would appear. It doesnt seem too noisy or anything and they seem to have vans parked outside 7 days per week to do the work (on maternity leave so I cant fail but notice when driving past).

I dont have the space to dry much inside and some things cant be put in tumble dryer, so really want to dry outside but worried about building dust sticking to newborn's things. Is shaking the items before I bring them in ok even if they are still a bit damp?

Am i being ridiculous to worry?

If they aren't using electric saws or drills it should be o.k

Thanks trees, didnt hear anything noise today but saw the builders van outside. think rendering the brick walls might be the next thing and i guess that would be dusty.

You could put it out when you know you'll be around and check every so often if you can see dust coming from the property - the wind might be blowing it away anyway. If not, you could peg it onto an airer on a different elevation of your house, slightly further away if you have room. If in doubt you can give it a good shake a couple of times.

babies really aren't that fragile. Obviously you don't want clean washing covered in dust, so check wind direction when hanging out.
