How is a frittata different from an omelette?

I would say that with an omlette, the egg is the star, so you can have it plain or with a filling, but a frittata is the veggies cooked up and glued together with egg.

Either way, yummmmmmm.

I thought frittatas are oven-baked and omelettes are pan-fried?

I had the most gorgeous frittata a couple of weeks back at a party. Was made from spaghetti and tomatoes etc. was lovely.
