your box for crackers?

Have been on the search for a box for crackers (as in salty biscuits). Currently our crackers are stored in a little plastic box. But I'd like something you could bring to the table. My dream box would be simple white ceramic with a wooden lid (Danish, minimalist) ;-). Did see quite a nice one but it had 'Crackers' written on it (I know it has crackers in it, I don't need a sign).
So what box do you have and do you like it?

Hahah you're funny &. Good not too feel so alone in a yaybiscuit world.

I hope we find our perfect box.

Emma bridgewater make two cracker tins, sorry I am not good with links.

I thought I was alone in my hatred of labelled storage Grin

SIL has a range that says overly chirpy things like 'sugar, one lump or two, no thanks I'm sweet enough'
'Biscuits, fancy a biccy? Tasty treats, naughty but nice'
The worst is a glass chopping board that says 'chop chop chop, hot hot hot, eat, eat, eat, knife, knife, knife'

I get an irrational urge to hurl it to the floor shouting smash, smash, smash!

I keep ryvitas in a ryvita tin, I inherited from my Grandma and other Crackers in an M&S biscuits for cheese tin with a tiny mouse on top of it.

Or kill, kill, kill, perhaps.

How many crackers were you thinking? This fits the description but you would need a hell of a lot of cheese to top all of the crackers it could hold.

Spawning - that is very nice indeed. Ta. I'm good at eating cheese. Or I might get for bread.
SINCE important update.
Cracker box was bought today from Lakeland (after a boozy lunch). It is in fact one of those plastic clip boxes ...so ok, not ceramic and not wood, curse that booze, but fits a good number of crackers and is the right shape and size.
So the quest sort of continues, but at least I have a neat-looking box (for now, you knows plastic tschh).

I am also the proud owner of a grout-cleaning brush, a caddy thing to store cleaning stuff, some bath cleaner, and a sponge with special qualities. And some liquorish. I need all of these things, and at the same time, I need none of them. I'm not really sure why I went to Lakeland.

Lakeland box crap. Sticky label on side won't come off properly despite soaking (leaves gluey residue). Sad

You'll be needing Lakelands special sticky stuff remover then

hannibalismisunderstood · 22/02/2014 17:37

Or smear with mayonnaise, leave to soak and it will come off easily....

zumm · 22/02/2014 18:25

That's brilliant Hannibal! Canute - I took it back and they tried to sell me the stuff. Which was quite tempting. I then bought some stain remover that I don't need instead.

The Devil has got nothing on Lakeland when it comes to tempting. Not helped by the way your brains disappear in a puff of smoke when you step over the threshold. Did I really need a special gadget for taking the cores out of peppers and one for excavating holes in cup cakes so you can fill them with cream? We could do with a thread about Lakeland's most useless items and yes, I know they have a no-quibble bring it back if you don't like it policy but I live a long way away and always forget.

zumm · 23/02/2014 14:29

A tool for excavating cup cakes, you say? Hmm, useful. I think I need one. What about those cake pop things though? That seems to be a whole industry. (Not sure who actually makes em though.)

Today, I bought a plastic box from waitrose. It's ok. Neat. Big enough to hold sev pckts of their Thomas J Fudge 'cheddar & chive pufferies'. I'm not sure what a puffery is but they look good.

This is what the search for a cracker box has done.
