Duvet Covers. Ironing.

I've been ironing duvet covers my entire life. I think it's got to stop. Is it possible to find a very lovely, high TC, white-company style duvet that doesn't require ironing?

My mum was the same she ironed everything, it rubbed off on to me but my ironing basket was never empty now I just fold them as soon as their dry and there ok on the bed

Weelady, I have tried that... it kind of drives me crazy. My eye catches the un-smootheness every time I walk in the room.

I did see on that ocd programme a woman running the iron over her bed every morning, I always wanted to try it but think my steam iron is too awkward to do it with Smile

I stop doing it after about 12 months of living with my boyfriend (now dh). He never ironed it so I wondered why I bothered! It's that it's clean & smells fresh that bothers me the most.

You need to half-tumble them until they are steaming hot and then lay them flat on an airer to dry.

I don't iron the children's white company bedding- it's washed, hung on the line or airer, then folded and put away.

To be fair, the way they wriggle in bed, even were it ironed, it would be creased within 5 minutes.
