How do I safely remove black permanent marker from my eggshell painted kitchen cupboard door and also the stainless steel on my oven door?

If it is permanent marker it will probably be removed with an alcohol based product

Start with something non abrasive like wd40. If that doesn't work, google it. There's hundreds of different suggestions out there from baking soda/toothpaste to nail polish.

Will that take off the paint on the cupboard door?

Or leave a dull mark where it has been cleaned?

Alcohol will shift it, whether it leaves a mark depends in your paint.

I got biro off a painted set of drawers once using hairspray Smile

Not sure if that will work on marker but worth a try??

Vodka straight away

Put some more marker over the top and wipe it off while the top layer of ink is still wet

Thank you.

Off to give alcohol a try, though possibly a little early in the morning.

Do you think it matters if it's with 'ice and a slice'. Wink
