I am thinking of buying a lakeland heated clothes dryer. Are these any good and a good cheap sustitute for our tumble dryer?? Dont want to waste 90 quid if no good!!

It is good but quite big. It won't dry things as fast as a tumble.

Disappointed by mine. Maybe I just expected it to be more miraculous given the rave reviews it got on here. But it's..ok. Huge. And yes the bits of the clothes actually on the heated poles dry very quick..but I don't notice much difference with the rest of each garment!

I rave about mine! I use it for the bits that don't go in a tumble dryer. The best trick is to layer the clothes flat on top of each other and even tent it with a sheet. I keep mine in a cupboard too (with the boiler and tumble dryer) so is also nice and warm, drys a load overnight. Saves having washing draped around the house.

I use mine with a sheet over the top. I agree with the other posters about spreading things out as flat as possible, I find that when things are mostly dry I stack them to finish them off. It is very cheap to run and despite being bulky is a lifesaver. Lakeland have their no quibble guarantee if you decided you didn't like it.

We've got the triple height one. I'm really pleased with it. I always cover it with a huge kingsize flat bedsheet though as it dries things alot quicker that way. Not sure how it compares to a tumble drier as I've never owned one, but have been pleased with mine (although think I only paid about £75 for mine a year or so ago, so they've stuck the price right up).

I've had mine for a couple of months now and love it. I load it up in the evening then tent it and it's all dry come morning.

We got the biggest one but it was so huge we sent it back for the two tier one and it is great for all those woollies and things you cannot tumble dry. It isn't a heated towel rail though so don't think that things will be dry in a couple of hours. We think it was well worth the money.

i like mine, don't have a dryer at all. If I use it with the dehunidifier tigether it dries a full load very quickly.
i also like that it fits lerfectly into a corner on the landing were there is good circulation. Usually a load dries within 24 hours (•not• switched on), 12 hours switched on and 6 with the dehunidifier running.
