Sofa and cat scratches

Is it possible to make the cat scratches less obvious?

It's a leather sofa and I foster rescue cats so training them is an ongoing process so no end in sight unfortunately. I also have a 12 year old son and 3 dogs it needs to be a leather sofa Grin

Can I do anything? I'm quite house proud and I don't want it to get worse.

The only thing that worked for me was completely covering the sofa in throws

Hmm

Oh I really didn't want to do that.

Ok thank you

Get a funky scratch post - cat scratched fabric sofa then we got leather chairs and she started on that then we got her a new scratch post and she uses that - still does the leather chairs but no way as bad. Apparently wiping then down with olive oil and lemon juice works as a deterant?

I have three scratch posts they do use them but not exclusively Hmm

I'll try the olive oil and lemon juice thing see if that helps

I had cat scratches on a leather sofa in a rented flat and rubbed vaseline over it when I left which massively improved its appearance. Was surprised how well it worked!

By the way good for you for fostering I think that's amazing :)
