Can you still buy the old 60w light bulbs?

I know the old 100w have stopped been made, but can you still get 60w light bulbs? If so, any ideas where from - I've looked in Wilkinson, Savers (who do light bulbs) and Tescos.

I'm trying to get some for my Mum - light bulbs are not working in four rooms and she flatly refuses to use the low energy ones as she says they're not bright enough. Have told her, better to have something than nothing, but she's adamant she wants to the old 60w!!

Nope, unless you can find someone who has stockpiled them. Sorry.

You can get them from hardware stores, they're labelled 'rough-service lamps' because they're not as efficient as domestic bulbs, but they're the same in essence.

You can still get 100W bulbs on that basis too.

Home Bargains sells them and occasionally Poundworld has them in. We use them and 100w bulbs because my eyesight is so bad I can't see using the low energy bulbs.

I bought a 60w bayonet fit last week from Asda. It was for a standard lamp so a full sized bulb. It was labeled "Heavy Duty" and in a black box, not sure why.

Thanks. Will get my Mum to look in Poundland herself and check out Home Bargains and Asda when I'm passing.
