Can anyone recommend a food processor?

I've got a basic one which I've had for years but I cook from scratch more these days and don't always find it big enough. I haven't got a great deal of storage space so would like something that won't take up loads of room and I probably don't need too many extra gadgets as I've got a decent mixer and liquidiser already. Budget up to £100 is although I'd prefer to spend less - if it looks pretty on my worktop it'd be a bonus :)

Can you get a food processor for £100? You can get blenders, but the ones that slice and chop and whisk etc cost more, afaik.

I recommend the Magimix 3150 which is about £170. It doesn't look pretty I'm afraid, but it is brilliant and versatile, gets chucked in the dishwasher, lasts forever. I use it every day. It chops, slices, grates, purees, whisks, minces, kneads, grinds. Brilliant.

If your family is 4 or fewer people you don't need the bigger machine. I had the bigger one but it didn't work as well for smaller quantities. The 3150 is perfect.

Thanks, I've seen lots under £100 though and my current one was only about £40. It's narrowing down the selection I'm having trouble with!

I got a Philips Compact 3-in-1 Food Processor, 750 Watt (Black) from Amazon last year, they're currently selling them for about £90. I don't use it that much, but it's been pretty good when I do.

Thanks, a Magimix would be brilliant, maybe I'd be better off saving up.

The Philips one doesn't look much bigger than my current one but I think I am asking for the moon on a stick to get a bigger bowl but a smaller overall machine!

Magimix Special Buy in JL at mo

Although I've got a much cheaper Kenwood one from Argos and have no probs with it but only use it a couple of times per month.
