Limescale in the bottom of the shower tray

We have a very powerful shower, and live in a very hard water area. There is a lot of caked in limescale (well, I'm asuming that is what it is - its a sort of light brown crust - lovely, I know) in the shower tray where the water would hit the bottom. What can I buy to try and get rid of it please? I'm happy to throw money at it - the less scrubbing, the better Smile

Soak cotton wool in vinegar and cover it. Leave for as long as possible, then make a paste of vinegar and bicarb and scrub. Repeat.

I also used a soft pumice stone on a particularly scaley shower tray - worked a treat!

Hi
I just wondered if that would work on a plastic/acrylic bath too - we have a faint brown line around the edge, from the plughole to about half way along the bath. We live in Hampshire on the south coast, so very hard water here too.

Our showers get kinda scummy/scaly and I use viacal, squirt it on a dry shower base and leave to soak for a while then use an old pan scrubber or scrubbing brush may need a bit of cif as well and it should come off. It might need a couple of goes if its really bad

Vinegar and bicarb mixed sorted our shower out (plus carefully scraping with a Bic razor, but do this at your own risk!!)

Hi. I think the shower tray is made out of china or some kind of stone. I have no idea actually. It is white. Blush
