Can anybody give me some suggestions how to get rid of black mold around the bath sealant? Nothing seems to be shifting it at the moment :( Thanks

You need Lakeland's HG Mould Remover - it's fab, the only stuff which actually works.

Thank you will give it a go. X

I had this problem and the good mnetters of Good Housekeeping advised Dettol Mould & Mildew remover - the bottle says only to leave on for a short time but that made no difference - I put it on straight after I'd had a shower and left for 24 hours - that did the trick nicely. It looks SO much better.

I second HG Mould spray. The only thing that works IMO.

and i'll 'third', HG is truly wonderful stuff

Get cotton wool balls

Drench them in neat bleach

Stick them to offending mouldy areas, leave overnight

It will disappear, promise!

Thanks everyone, might give the bleach and cotton wool balls a go first as I have both to hand!

It does work

Used to get black mould around the taps and bath sealant in previous house

Worked a treat, you have to repeat every couple of months or so

Ok so I tried bleach today. Covered all the tiles in 2 bathrooms and left all day.i went back in the afternoon expecting gleaming white grouting.

It was a disaster everything was a turquoise mess. I had foolishly though harpic power duck toilet cleaner would make everything even shinier as it was stronger.

Please stick to normal bleach as I have scrubbed, rinsed and scrubbed all the ties and I can't get rid of the blue tinge on my cream tiles.
