Have soaked them for several hours in cold water in the bath.

Now what?

Maybe cola? I'm sure I read the other day that it's good for getting rid of blood stains...maybe bicarbonate of soda or lemon juice would work...

Showtime · 03/01/2014 21:22

I understand they should be soaked in cold water with handful of salt to remove stain - then I'd wash in usual fashion.

Chrysanthemum5 · 03/01/2014 21:24

Put in cold water in the bath and rub salt in to the stains. It will bring out the blood. Then wash as usual

BrownPaint · 03/01/2014 21:24

Note sure how you remove the coke stains though...

incogKNEEto · 03/01/2014 21:27

The only thing I've found that works on blood stains is White Wizard Spot Remover and All Purpose Cleaner. It's great, you rub it into the stains with a rag and then wash as normal and the stains are gone. I think you can buy it at Lakeland.

Did you murder your husband for answering the phone again tonight? Shock

souperb · 03/01/2014 21:30

I soaked in borax solution then a couple of hot washes with vanish spray. Sorted all apart from a white blanket, which I gave up on.

VoyageDeVerity · 03/01/2014 21:31

Are you Patrick Bateman?

nevergoogle · 03/01/2014 23:15

very suspicious if you ask me, where did OP go?

Mintyy · 03/01/2014 23:25

Oh hello hello! Sorry for disappearing was just outside re-laying the last of the paving slabs on the patio.

No, dd had the period from hell (poor child) and ds had TWO big nose bleeds TWO nights running. It does look like the scene from Psycho in our bath tub at the moment Grin.

EmpressOfTheWellOfLostPlots · 03/01/2014 23:28

Definitely salt.

GideonKipper · 03/01/2014 23:30

Cold water and scrub with Fairy Liquid; has always worked for me after doing dark deeds.

nevergoogle · 03/01/2014 23:31

Grin at laying the paving slabs.

mrsminiverscharlady · 03/01/2014 23:47

I spray with vanish liquid then wash with biological powder for whites with prewash at 40 degrees. Worked when I gave birth in the living room Grin

browneyesblue · 03/01/2014 23:57

I haven't tried it on a large stain before, but hydrogen peroxide is excellent for removing blood stains. It's very cheap, and should be available from most chemists. I bought mine from the Asda pharmacy, but be warned, they do have to ask what you want it for!

Google has numerous instructions on how to use it for stain removal.

justbecauseimalondoner · 05/01/2014 21:17

I used Ammonia when DS had a projectile nose bleed and ran from room to room in a panic. All rooms had a beige carpet! Fantastic stuff. Not a mark to be seen now.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 05/01/2014 21:21

If they are white sheets then hydrogen peroxide
You can buy it in in most chemists including boots
| PLA | Vitamins&utmcontent=seXz85NP4|dtpcrid_24036622884 this kind of thing

I bled all over our futon when pregnant with dd. It got it all out.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 05/01/2014 21:22

Ah just saw browneyesblue's post

Alwayscheerful · 06/01/2014 09:27

Soak in cold water and salt overnight.
Normal wash in biological washing powder.

Hydrogen peroxide if necessary.
