How to remove grease from kitchen cupboards

Mum had a flat let. Tenants have left it in an awful state. How can we get grease off cupboard doors. Tried Astonish paste. Tried Max- Degreaser from Lakeland. Tried Cif. Nothing has worked. Any wonder product out there? Would a steam cleaner do it? We would have to buy one.
Any tips please?

I use The Pink Stuff it can be used on different materials as you can rub it in gently on surfaces you don't want to scratch such as the ceramic hob or use a bit of elbow grease on the inside of the oven. I swear it got grime of our shower that had been there from before we moved in and that ordinary shower cleaners couldn't remove.

I haven't tried Astonish but the Pink Stuff is fab, I use it on almost everything now. I couldn't believe how clean it got the inside of my oven. It has granules in it so you have to be gentle on surfaces which could get scratched like shower screens but it still works really well.

HG Greaseaway is really good, it removed 10 years of grime from the top of kitchen cupboards!

I bought some stuff from Asda for a quid.

Best degreaser I've ever used. It was in the pound bargain section.Can't remember what it was called.

Depeo ...it's what takeaways use to degrease . You can get it in cash and carrys like bookers . Brilliant stuff .

Biological washing powder can be very good too.

I used bicarb to decrease my cupboards and now a white vinegar solution (approx 50/50 with water) to keep on top of them. Has worked a treat!

Sugar soap and a very hot cloth. I heat the wet cloths in microwave for 2 minutes, then wear very thick industrial rubber gloves. The heat helps dissolve the grease.
