If I dilute some thick bleach in a bucket with water and put my flannel and loofa in it will it make them less icky? Due to neglect the loofa has got like black mold on it and the flannel is starting to get slimey. I don't really wanna throw either of them out and washing the flannel in the washing machine is out as i don't have any loads of laundry to do, and it costs me £1.50 to wash a load as I have to use the built in laundrette as no washing machine.

Bleach is ok, but boiling flannels in a pan of water for 20 mis is better. Best of all is to throw flannels in the main wash, whatever colours. A pack of 10 flannels from Ikea is only a quid. Use a flannel no more than 2 days max, then chuck in main wash.

I would chuck the loofah away if it has black mould on it. Loofah is a natural plant that grows in the sea. Bleach or boiling might just turn it to mush.
