Laminate floor suddenly very slippery

We have a large area of laminate flooring in our living room. Over the last few days it has become unusually slippery. We haven't done anything different or used a different floor cleaner so I can't work out what's causing it.
I have slipped a couple of times despite wearing slippers and am worried my 20 month old will slip and hurt herself.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Has anyone sprayed hair products near the area? They often have silicone in them.

No no hair products sprayed.

Has the toddler 'cleaned' with baby wipes, makes it like an ice rink.

I'd mop it over with hot water and washing up liquid....wring cloth out well, and have a dry one to dry as you go and see how it is after.

I find sugar spillages make the laminate slippery! I reckon the baby wipe idea is probably the most likely though with a 20 month old!

It's the whole floor so she wouldn't have done all that with baby wipes. We washed it again last night with the correct floor cleaner and it's still slippy although perhaps not quite as much.
