Does anyone know of any 'how to' books on cleaning?

Does such a thing exist?

A dear friend, who is a self confessed slob has decided it's time to get clean and tidy.

She loves books and I think this may be just the right thing to keep her on track. Currently she doesn't really know what to do other than the absolute bare minimum, as in wash up occasionally, put the bins out....!

Yes there is, by Kim and aggy, think it's called Kim and aggey's bible to household management, I got a copy off eBay for a few quid, it's brilliant!

this from amazon. I bought their first book too. Found them both really helpful and motivating! Also, fly lady has this book which is another good one...

I was brought Anthea Turners how to be the perfect housewive when I first moved in with my OH (by my MIL) and although I was rather insulted at first it is absolutly brilliant! Not only does it tell you how to get stuff clean but all about de cluttering and home organsiation. 7 years on its still out and I still look through it when I need a bit of inspiration! Should be able to get it quite cheap now aswell xx

I got one from IKEA of all places - it breaks things down into what to do always, often, sometimes, in each room in the house.

I also have Austerity Housekeeping by Sandra Bradley (a MNer) on my Kindle, but that's a more discursive book, rather than the IKEA one which is a pure manual.

Another vote for the Kim and Aggie one

Anthea Turner taught me the best way to fold fitted sheets... At the time I was almost sick at myself for being interested, but its much easier than the unwieldy bundle I used to have!
