Which is yours? I need one to print off tomorrow ( tuesday) motning and check as we go through it. Even things like dusting skirting etc. DP just doesn't see the dirt and I don't have the willpower to compile a list!

Long version:
Have asked told DP to help me clean the house tomorrow. It's upside down due to renovations upstairs and we are sleeping in living room, out hanging clothes are kept in different room than folded stuff in chest of drawers, etc. Basically its chaos and the grime level is rising.

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and tired and sore but determined we can't get to next weekend with house still in disarray. I'm getting frustrated and stressed!

I'm 39 and 4 at the moment and have been in super nesting mode for weeks. This has been my list:

Bedrooms
-Hoover (including light fittings/ top of wardrobes/behind furniture)
-Polish (as above)

  • Sort all clothes, vacuum pack any summer clothes/ sort all bed sheets/ chuck out (charity bag) any non used items
-Generally space save, clearing out anything not used, I was brutal
  • bleach window sills/skirting boards
-clean mattress (hoovered and baking soda'd!) -washed windows

Bathroom
-scrubbed and bleached EVERYTHING including ceiling, floors skirting boards
-wiped down toilet, sink, shower with several cleaners then buffed with 'cleaning' towel
-used drain unblocker on all drains
-got some nice airwick diffuser
-soaker shower head in distilled vinegar and cleaned all fixtures with lemon/vinegar mix.
-sorted and organised all toiletries, chucked out empty/disused bottles.
-washed windows

Living room
-Hoover including behind furniture and under/behind couch cushions
-Polish
-washed cushion covers/throws
-bleached window frames and washed windows
-sorted all drawers/storage and got rid if any clutter
-took down and washed curtains/light fittings
-bleached pvc front door and porch, cleaned outside windows

Kitchen/dining room

  • Massive sort out and organisation of all cupboards, sorted out all crockery/cooking equipment/ Tupperware, including sorting through food in freezer/fridge. Made list of food and did some batch cooking portions that just need defrosting for after the birth. Gave any unused/unlikely to be used food to food bank hamper.
-cleaned all pans/pots -bleach cleaned sides/floor -defrosted freezer/cleaned fridge and wiped down with vanilla essence to make smell amazing! -cleaned washing machine
  • bleached all rags/sponges
-hoovered and polished -cleaned out toaster/delimescalee kettle
  • wiped down all walls
-cleaned oven and hob, soaked all stove burners -cleaned microwave with lemon water.
  • again cleaned window sills/windows/ PVC back door.

Washed all baby clothes/did all of our washing and ironing.

Don't forget to dust/clean things like radiators, behind sinks/anything fixed. I've also Frebreezed/Shake and Vac'd all fixed fabrics too.

I think that is most of it! there are other bits and peices that I've done that I've forgot! I have been cleaning crazy but the place was a mess and cleaning products smell amazing at the moment!

Hope that helps! Grin

Thanks for yoir v comprehensive list!

DP "cleaned" the shower with mould and mildew remover instead of the cif mousse I've directed him to at least 5 times over the last few months ( still an improvement on what he used before, but I did wonder why it never seemed to be actually clean after he did it) then filled the mop bucket and then went upstairs to do stuff in the nursery (probably in a huff) We have to leave for antenatal in an hour so house won't be any better than I normally have it day to day.

Think I may employ a cleaner for a deep clean session as DP is beyond useless.
