If we ever go away overnight, or on holiday, I find myself tidying up the house, not just because it's much nicer to come back to a tidy house, but I find myself thinking about what would happen if we had a terrible accident and never came back. How embarrassed I'd be to think of police/relatives having to look round our messy house. So WTF am I thinking that for (if I'm not coming back, I'm not going to be able to be embarrassed), and am I alone in my morbid thoughts?

I wear those disposable gloves when I change ds's nappy!!!

Jazzi · 16/07/2006 12:04

...keep a box next to the nappies!!!

FrannytheBakedBeanSaviour · 16/07/2006 12:08

Gosh. I see.

Jazzi · 16/07/2006 12:10

..but I do have a thing about poo, as does my other ds who gags at the mere glimpse of it!!!!

Jazzi · 16/07/2006 12:11

Also interesting fact...des anyone know what the most unhygienic part of a toilet is???? Answers on a postcard!!!

Jazzi · 16/07/2006 12:11

Sorry..spelling is terrible today!!

MadamePlatypus · 16/07/2006 12:13

Exactly Franny. Its the same stuff that you are wiping off your bottom, whats the difference between that and wiping it off a bit of ceramic?

Jazzi · 16/07/2006 12:20

eewww, but your own is one thing - but everyone elses!!!

Jazzi · 16/07/2006 12:20

Does no-one want to know the answer????

MadamePlatypus · 16/07/2006 12:22

the handle?

Jazzi · 16/07/2006 12:24

Ohhh,

Clary · 16/07/2006 12:25

jazzi at gloves to change a nappy.
Agree with Franny, to clean properly I have the marigolds on anyway, but more to protect my hands from too much hot water and cleaning stuff.
For immediate wipe round I use my bare hands and loo roll.
then I wash my hands.
And dry them. On my towel. (that last bit is for Harpsi, is ti you with the towel-phobia??)

Jazzi · 16/07/2006 12:31

I feel very now!!

MadamePlatypus · 16/07/2006 12:39

So whats worse to find in the loo at work - skid marks (no loo brush), or the knowledge that somebody might have cleaned up skid marks with no gloves and loo roll.

FrannytheBakedBeanSaviour · 16/07/2006 12:52

IT IS JUST POO

not toxic waste

do you use gloves to wipe your own bottom?

DON'T say yes, I am getting scared now...

Jazzi · 16/07/2006 12:54

No but I do wrap loads of tissue paper around my hand!!

Clary · 17/07/2006 00:01

see, Franny I was wondering that very thing today about Jazzi, which is a bit worrying, but I see you were there before me (which may be even more worrying ).

Cappucino · 17/07/2006 12:22

pretty sure that jazzi's ds gagging at poo is learned behaviour

can't believe the gloves. do you wear the gloves when you feed him, jazzi, since - ahem - that's the stuff that's coming out the other end?

Jazzi · 17/07/2006 12:28

Thankfully he feeds himself now! Another thing that really turns my stomach is the thought of eating leftovers from someone elses plate!! YUK!!!

themoon66 · 17/07/2006 12:30

Oh Jazzi - you would hate my DH. He nicks my left over bits in restaurants. I slap his hands now if I see him reaching over. It drives me mad! I think he must have been 'dragged up'.

alexsmum · 17/07/2006 12:31

i'm a bit at wearing gloves to change a nappy.do you not think it will give the child issues when he's older?

JackieNo · 17/07/2006 12:32

Alexsmum - they have to wear gloves to change nappies at nursery (presumably health and safety rules?), so hopefully not! I wouldn't do it with my own child, though (sorry Jazzi)

OP posts:
Jazzi · 17/07/2006 12:34

Do you think it will alexsmum? they do it at nursery too!!

Jazzi · 17/07/2006 12:35

I am getting worried now, am I the only one that wears gloves??

alexsmum · 17/07/2006 12:36

they do it at nursery cos it's not their kid! and they are doing loads of them.
i've just got this image of an adult thinking ,' my mothers touch felt like rubber gloves'!!!!!
