We have just moved into a new house with a shower room, the tiles and grout are white and I am finding that there is a creamy/pink residue in the grout and on the tiles after we have showered, I am struggling cleaning it off, I think it may be hair conditioner....has anyone had this problem and is there a good product to clean it a bit easier.
many thanks

Yes. Try HG Mould spray. It's very good. You can purchase it from Homebase.

HG mould spray is fab, as is Grotbuster

Was going to say HG Mould spray too Grin.

White vinegar and bicarb mixed to a paste work wonders on my grouting! I also have a sonic scrubber brush from Lakeland which is great for that kind of thing.

Thanks everyone, I am struggling with Grot Buster........the HG Mould spray seems to have a very strong smell, is there anything else like Grot Buster that just sprays on without having to brush in?

I get this, it's worse when I use red/pink/orange tinted things like hair and shower products. I don't find the mould sprays do anything at all and once every 6 weeks ish I just have to get in their and bleach it white.

Once you have it clean and white again, polish the whole area (tiles and grout) with car wax (colourless obv) to form a barrier between the tiles/grout and the soap/shower gel/conditioner - any marks/foamy stains should just come off with a damp cloth or a good spray with the shower head.

Bleach is really the best and cheapest. A little tip, use the type with a nozzle and turn it the opposite way i.e. It will appear the bleach is being squeezed out upwards. Hope this makes sense!!

It's bodyfat.. I get loads of it in the boxers shower rooms at work.

There is stuff you can get which I use (they use it in swimming pools) but to be perfectly honest.. cif cream and elbow grease is a lot easier on the lungs.

I think it's a variety of mould. If you wanted to spend a fortune you could buy dandruff shampoo and scrub with that.

Or if you want to do it cheaply and still avoid bleach, you could use 3% hydrogen peroxide and warm water in a 1:2 ratio (hydrogen peroxide 1:warm water 2) in a spray bottle. Spray everywhere in your bathroom including all fixtures and the floor (because colonies of mold can spread all over the place and recolonise if you leave any) and after allowing to sit for about an hour, scrub everywhere with a brush and hot water.
