here's the deal - I now have no less then ELEVEN tester paint pots and none of them are any good

have an interesting stripey look going on in my dining room!

i'm looking for a paint colour that's a beigey cream, and all the ones I've chosen are too pink, too yellow, too yucky brown, too greeny

anyone got a suggestion?

need to get this nailed or dh will just paint it magnolia...

you need natural wicker
baileys irish cream colour
is that what you are looking for?
I hunted for AGES!!!!

mazzystar · 12/07/2006 20:24

have you tried maybe matchstick or house white?

popsycal · 12/07/2006 20:25

here

tassis · 12/07/2006 20:31

house white looks too green, but matchstick and natural wicker are both possible

where can I get farrow and ball paint?

thanks both

(more testers to buy...)

B&Q I think. Or Homebase

Dulux gardenia. A bit whiter than natural wicker (which is also v nice, I think) but doesn't have as much yellow as magnolia.

Farrow and Ball string. I paint every house/flat I have ever owned in this. It's brilliant. Neutral enough to take any material/pictures etc but not too flat/white
etc

I always think that Dulux Barley White is the best creamy cream about in all light conditions. I have used it in several homes and it always looks right. Also, make sure that you are using more of a matt finish with creams to get fewer and more flattering reflections off a light paint colour.

Magnolia is a beigey cream colour!

Just get that and then tell anyone who asks it's a Farrow & Ball

Bathstone Beige by Dulux is lovely - and good in all lights.
