Ok so I brought this washer/dryer but having some problems, set programe start it off all fine and it counts down to last 1 miniture of the cycle and then just carries on for ever, seems to totally miss the whole spin and drain bit! So I them have to switch it off, set to spin so I can get washing finished

Just can't figure it out any ideas what I'm doing wrong ?

Thanks yes know the button your talking about the reduced ironing but no never use that, I brought it second hand, and have contacted lady and she was really shocked and promised it worked fine and has offered fully refund, so I honestly don't think it faulty just think it something really simple that I'm missing! But what ? X

It sounds like you may have something trapped in there like a hairgrip or piece of plastic. When this happens to mine I open the outlet valve on the front low right hand corner and drain the water out manually. It can be quite wet so put towels down and then I can retrieve the tripped item from the outlet pipe.
Try googling for more tips, as my explanation doesn't even make sense to me ;)

Google how to clean your bosch washing machine filter, that should do it.

DoItTooJulia · 13/11/2013 18:51

Phone Bosch, they are really helpful!

Why did I post twice ??

Mumof3girlys · 13/11/2013 19:16

Great thanks ladies, I'm just waiting for this cycle to finish (same knickers and bras) been going around all day thought I would give it one last go on a cycle that includes automatic drying, then armed with my tool box and manual I'm going in!!!

It's at time like this I wish I wasn't a single mum!

So filter is clear but it appears the pipe is not there, nothing sticking through hole into clip, tried to hold machine up while groping under to try and locate it but no luck, googled it lots and apparently may be that the heat element is gone and that's why it stops as it doesn't get to correct temp to wash clothes

Seriously, call Bosch!

KatieScarlett2833 · 13/11/2013 20:49

I had this with mine. The engineer came out, carefully traced and re scratched some bits on a discy thing in the engine bit and it's worked fine ever since.

you may find that the bosch menders line (I think it is run by D&G) offers you a fixed price repair or 12-months cover for not much more. I have an idea it was something like £160.

Decide what the machine is worth to you before calling.

DoItTooJulia · 14/11/2013 19:54

They've never charged me for over the phone advice.

I had this with my last Bosch, there is a fault so the programme can't finish, it just goes back to repeat the same bit of cycle. I had to get an engineer to fix it.

pileoflaundry · 15/11/2013 12:37

My machine has this problem when the load is unbalanced and I'm in a hurry. If there are only a few small items inside, or a large thing like a duvet cover, all the weight can be in one part of the drum and the machine will struggle to spin. Could this be it?
Have you checked that the machine is completely level? Check with a spirit level, both from side and side and from back to front.

LostInWales · 15/11/2013 12:40

Ah ha! Mine did this last month, I was very pissed off with it. Had to keep manually changing it to spin. Kicked it, ignored it for a while, suddenly it decided to do what it was supposed to and has worked fine ever since. although I'm sure it beeps in an even more bullying fashion now
