I'm after a chopping board that is dishwasher safe and won't blunt my knives. Any bright ideas?

I have one from the pampered chef, have had for 18 months ish, goes in the dishwasher at least every other day, is completely fine.

simple, plain, flat, white ones. Get a few, then one can be in the wash while you use another.

if you can't be sure to separate raw meat from other things, get two or more in different colours.

The very big ones are more difficult to fit in a dwr

I have a couple of TopGourmet boards. Dishwasher safe and seem to be lasting very well.

Ikea chopping boards are fine and cost about a quid. Seriously, no worse than any of these.
I'd spend the money on great knives and a good sharpener.

I always have a supply of these www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50153123/.

We often rent a place when we go on holiday and I don't like other peoples' chopping boards. These are so light and handy to pop in a suitcase.

PattyPuddy · 05/11/2013 03:52

(I also like that you can bend them to get the chopped bits off the board and into the pan/plate or whatever)

janeyjampot · 05/11/2013 07:44

I've got the Ikea ones but I don't think you can put them in the dishwasher.

Wooden ones are the best imo, and cut meat on a plate which can go in the dish washer.
