Bicarb of soda to clean a roasting pan?

Never thought I'd post here, but have a roasting pan that - having been used to cook chicken in marinade - now has great big chunks of burnt marinade in the corners that won't come off. Chuck the pan or is there some clever solution (quite literally)?

Have you tried Fairy Power Spray? It is very effective IME.

how is the job at fairy going, jan?

re pan: if hacking it off with a fish slice doesn't work, you could try overn cleaner. bicarb not up to this job (and i'm a big fan of it usually!)

i remember being bored one afternoon and cleaning an old roasting tray, in the end i used sandpaper!

lol, SP

(They don't pay me enough to keep recommending it, frankly)

try soaking in bio-tex overnight. works wonders. Alternatively vinegar boiling in the pan is supposed to work if you can stand the smell

Bicarb did most of it, Fairy did the rest... Thanks xx
