Nice smelling furniture oil

We have some oak furniture which I use Danish furniture oil on occasionally. It's great stuff, really hides scratches and makes the wood shine, but it reeks. Smells a bit like paint or varnish, and the smell lingers for ages. I'd love to find a wood oil or polish which would help make my house smell gorgeous (like that lovely expensive polish smell you get in posh homes!) but is still effective in protecting the furniture.

Any recommendations?

Oh the method one is gorgeous. It sells of almonds. I quite often polish for the sake of it just to get the smell!

Its not oil but I use it on both polished wood and untreated wood and it is fine on both.

Betterware do a nice lemony one for wood furniture.

Thanks everyone, will go and do some sniff-tests!

This smells lovely. I think there's a red topped one for dark wood too but I use the green one on my wooden hall floor.

"Derived from a blend of natural oils, it's easy to apply and has an aromatic fragrance reminiscent of well-looked after stately homes. A truly kind treatment for wood."

Thanks Lookslikerain - I'm a Lakeland addict so always keen to try something new from them!
