Has anyone assembled an IKEA PAX wardrobe all on your own?

We have been going in circles for about 2 months now trying to answer the value-for-money Q abt buying IKEA PAX wardrobes !!!

The thing is we are in a rented property and are struggling big time for clothes storage. The bedrooms are tiny tiny tiny..
And IKEA seems to be the only one who do these shallow wardrobes (???) which I am hoping will do the trick, with the aid of some of those pull out hangers for wider clothes (like DH's shirts etc); Mine and DD's shd be fine I think.

We are going to see how it works as a storage arrangement and if it works, then, buy sliding doors (which are relatively quite expensive !!).

My question is :

Should I go for a paid assembly service or try and do it on my own.
(DH is least interested, so, can't count on him to help)
I am thinking I will do it one weekday morning when DD is at preschool, like 2.5 hrs.

It is a 150cm width (100+50), 210cm height, 35cm depth wardrobe with some interior organisers; two of these;

Has anyone done an IKEA PAX wardrobe assembly all by yourself ?
Would love to hear from you and any tips that you can share please

Thanks

I have done it on my own. The assembly is straighforward, but the bigger pieces can be hard to hold in place on your own. The hardest thing is getting it upright (not heavy if it has no doors on, but awkward).

I agree with Goosey. It can be done but I think you need to get your partner to help if possible. You nerd plenty of space too when assembling the 210 high one.
I wouldn't even consider paying someone to assemble it.
Hth.

Have done it (and was just me), but not with sliding doors. Was really awkward lifting it up, manoevering it about etc You need to lay it all out / plan / know exactly how everything goes together before actually doing it or you get caught out. Had two 1m wide units and a .5 m wide one. Took me all week! (So think your time estimate is too ambitious.)

Room was empty too. Def. needed the space.
