Cleaning products and caddies

Just wondering if anyone had a good all-rounder cleaning product that they swear by?

My cupboard under the sink seems fit to burst. It's full of different sprays and things, and I need to have a clear out, and try and use only one or two good products. Does anyone have any suggestions please? I do need an anti-bacterial one as DS3 is potty training.

And also, what do you keep all your stuff in?

TIA Flowers

Fairy Power Spray - mainly for stains on surfaces; spray, leave for less than a minute, and wipe. Works really well on our light worktops that get stained by curry spices! Also good for cooked in/stubborn bits on dishes and pots.

Dettol anti-bac wipes - wiping up food/drink spilled on the floor, wiping down the surfaces, wiping down the high chair... and so on.

Bicarb & vinegar - for so many things Grin Particularly for cleaning the sink and plughole, but also good for carpets (bicarb only!), odour neutralising in the bin or fridge, descaling a shower head...

Thick bleach - pretty much any brand tbh, I just look at the offers, but I find a thick bleach gets the toilet perfectly sparkling. Squirt, leave, flush later and it's all done.

Microfibre cloths - for scrubbing, polishing, drying, cleaning... I have different coloured ones for each room (kitchen, bathroom, general) plus one for glass, which I use on the mirrors.

These are the main ones that get used all of the time. If you have a shower with a screen/doors then I find keeping a shower spray in there always is good because if you spray straight after your shower it prevents the build up of limescale and keeps it looking clean.

As for storage, I have a plastic basket from Wilkos in the hall cupboard with them in.

I have a cleaning caddy upstairs in the airing cupboard which contains....
vinegar & water spray, plus kitchen roll (for windows and mirrors)
Flash Bathroom cleaner
Ecover Limescale Remover Spray - the best thing for cleaning the shower cubicle!!
Polish and a duster
bin bags

Then in the bathroom itself, tucked by the loo are toilet cleaner and brush, then a bottle of bleach (my kids are old enough not to have to keep it way up high)
In the shower I keep Method Shower Spray and it just hangs over the side of the shower to spray after DH or I have used it (out of kids reach)

Under the kitchen sink is everything for downstairs! I would always keep in.....
washing up liquid
dishwasher tablets (Ecover, they don't leave residue/taste or ruin glasses)
washing powder, fabric conditioner, stain remover
baby oil (for stainless steel - bin/extractor hood)
polish and duster
cheap cheap cheap Jay cloths
oven cleaner
kitchen spray - I like Method but only when it's on offer!!! if not, whatever's cheap
floor cleaner.....I mop my kitchen floor or scrub it on my hands and knees, and would use hot water with a dose of floor cleaner, if I'm out then a dash of Fairy liquid, plus a glug of bleach.

In our downstairs loo I keep....
Flash Bathroom Spray
Toilet cleaner
bleach

I don't think what you use actually matters, as long as you use it!!! Lidl cleaning stuff is as good as some of the branded stuff, it's just a matter of choice. I have a ceramic kitchen sink so I use bathroom cleaner on it as I find it works better than 'kitchen' cleaner. My other tip would be to keep stuff where you need it, for example, keep one of everything you need for cleaning upstairs, upstairs!!!

Ooh, and my motto, thanks to a poster on MSE is 'don't put it down, put it away'......now I just need my hubby and kids to do the same!!!!
