Polishing Bronze sculptures

DH and I invested in a beautiful bronze sculpture to mark our wedding this year. We think it will look best kept bright and shiny rather than being allowed to develop a patina.

What's the best way of keeping it bright? What polish should I use?

I have read about waxing bronzes to stop them patinating, but it has already started to darken (but a bit patchily) so I want to polish it up first. Can I use normal beeswax to wax it once it is shiny?

I wouldnt use a beeswax as the bronze is often cool to touch and the wax can harden leaving a cloudy coating on the surface. You can just use a standard furniture polish to keep it bright and polish regularly although be careful as too much polishing will make it look like brass rather than bronze.

My friend makes these, and when I treated myself to one she suggested using a soft bristle brush to keep it clean and shiny, which I still do when I remember.
