Is the bathroom a good place to dry clothes?

I don't have a dryer so have to dry clothes on airers when it rains, and it takes ages and leaves my bedroom feeling cold and damp. I'm trying to keep the heating off as much as possible too and opening the window just makes my whole upstairs freezing.
There is an extractor fan in the bathroom, so would it make more sense to just turn that on and leave the clothes in there to dry? Would they dry quicker?

TIA

if you use the shower daily then no, ime. showers add too much moisture.
can you get a humidifier?
are you airing your home enough?

our dryer is in the draftiest place of the house and we open all windows mornings and evenings for good ventilation. clothes usually are dry after 24h.

I stick mine on an airer in the bathroom and leave the bathroom window open - well my bathroom window is left open all day everyday but since spiders have decided to come in I have had to resort to closing it at night.

damp clothes in the house need to be minimised as much as possible.

can you do your washing on non-rainy days? Doesn't need to be warm or sunny, clothes dry outside through the winter. Worth the investment in a few more knickers!

I put most of mine on coat hangers and hang them Over door frames. Even when it's cold they dry within a day.
Socks, underwear on an airer in the radiator.
